India Ran Away From Dialogues With Pakistan

New Delhi | Indian Foreign Minister Sushma Swaraj called off the meeting with Pakistani counterpart, Mr. Shah Mehmood Qureshi. The MEA spokesperson Raveesh Kumar announced the decision.

Since yesterday’s announcement of meeting of foreign ministers of India and Pakistan, two deeply disturbing developments have taken place. The latest brutal killings of our security personnel by Pakistan-based entities and the recent release of a series of 20  postal stamps by Pakistan glorifying terrorists. – MEA Spokesperson

The MEA Spokesperson continued with his allegations and further stated that, “It is obvious that behind Pakistan’s proposal for talks to make fresh beginning, the evil agenda of Pakistan stands exposed and the true face of new Prime Minister of Pakistan has been revealed to the world and that too in the first few months itself.”

Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said that India had not responded positively to Pakistan’s invitation for dialogue.

It seems that India is already preparing for its elections due in the country next year,” he said. “Pakistan had asked for the talks in the larger interest of the region. – Shah Mehmood Qureshi

Mr. Qureshi further stated said that, “It seems that India has priorities other than dialogue,” adding “there is a group in the New Delhi that doesn’t want talks to take place”.

Senator Sherry Rehman also criticized the Indian government. She tweeted,

Shame that on India has refused to talk peace with Pakistan in even a routine manner at the @UN on the sidelines of the General Assembly. Running from talks won’t change the fact that this time Indian repression in Kashmir has been noticed in a UN report.

The newly elected Pakistani Government from the first day has pushed for peace talks with India over Kashmir Issue. However the Indian Government has been reluctant in making any solid promises. The analysts have labelled the rejection of talks by Indian Government as an escape route from answering any questions on their brutality and human rights violations in occupied Kashmir.

Dr. Sardar Mohammed Kalim Khan, a senior political leader of Azad Kashmir said,

Indians are trying to play the victim card in order to avoid the backlash it is facing from the International community after the publication of United Nations Report issued in June 2018 by the U.N. High Commissioner for Human Rights which highlighted and demanded an International Inquiry on Indian aggression and Human Rights violations in the occupied Kashmir. India is desperately trying to crush the freedom movement in the occupied Kashmir. However their desperation only proves one thing that the Indians are losing control over occupied Kashmir and they can no longer suppress the wishes and aspirations of the people of occupied Kashmir.
